Beef Sausage Rolls With Spicy Beef Sauce

Ingredients

    Beef Sausage(s)
    choose top quality.
  • 6

    Bread Rolls
    hot dog or other long soft white rolls.
  • 2
    tbsp
    Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1
    whole
    Brown Onion
    small, peeled and finely chopped.
  • 750
    g
    Beef Mince
  • 2
    tsp
    Smoked Paprika
  • 1
    tsp
    Chilli Powder
    use more or less to taste.
  • 1
    tbsp
    Tomato Sauce
  • 1
    cup(s)
    Water
    use more if required.

Directions

  • 1 In your wok or a large saucepan, soften the onion in the oil without browning it and add the beef, stirring to colour.
  • 2 Add paprika, chilli powder, tomato sauce and paste and water. Bring to the boil then simmer gently for thirty minutes, adding a little more water if necessary.
  • 3 Season well with sea salt and ground black pepper to taste.
  • 4 While the sauce is simmering, cook the sausages over a low heat until just cooked through.
  • 5 Place a sausage in each bread roll and top with plenty of meat sauce.
  • 6 Serve with very cold beer.
